AI visibility for supplement and nutraceutical brands

GetPreferred™ checks which brands five AI assistants name and what they say about yours. AI visibility is how often AI assistants name, recommend or cite your brand when buyers ask about your category. Health claims must fit the Food Safety and Standards (Advertising and Claims) Regulations, 2018, and nutrition content is reviewed by a named, qualified expert.

Rules for supplement claims

Under the Food Safety and Standards (Advertising and Claims) Regulations, 2018, claims must be truthful and must not mislead. Supplements may not claim to prevent or cure a disease. Supplements also answer to FSSAI's 2022 rules for health supplements and nutraceuticals, applied through FSSAI directions.

ASCI updated its influencer guidelines on 28 April 2025. Anyone giving technical health or nutrition advice must hold and declare a relevant qualification.

ASCI's half-year complaints report of 11 November 2025 looked at 211 food and beverage advertisements. Many made misleading health or nutrition claims.

This summary is general information and is no substitute for legal advice.

Questions from nutraceutical brand teams

Who reviews nutrition content?

Nutrition content on your pages goes to a named, qualified expert for review, and the expert's affiliation is stated. That follows the ASCI rule on qualified advice set out above.

Will you write disease claims for a supplement?

No. Food supplements may not claim to prevent or cure a disease under the Food Safety and Standards (Advertising and Claims) Regulations, 2018. We write measured facts about the product instead, such as what is in it and where to buy it.
